Grandma Time
At the 19th Ave Playground in Golden Gate Park
Susannah is a lucky little girl - she got to spend all of last week with her Grandma! The weather was fantastic for nearly the entire time, making daily visits to the playground all the more appealing. Susannah has definitely grown quite a bit since Grandma's last solo visit to San Francisco. That was in March, and she was just learning to crawl. At that point, Susannah's speed and radius of travel were obviously limited. Now she can get into trouble with alarming speed. She even had my poor mom following her through a kid-sized tunnel at the playground - who knows what fun is in store for next time? Mom's visit also coincided with the release of the H1N1 vaccine in San Francisco, which had us waiting in line for 6 HOURS! That's right..from about 4-10pm, either me and my mom or me and Alex waited at the community clinic, along with about 1000 other people with kids, so that Susannah could get her shot. I must say, it was so nice to have a nice dinner ready after arriving home from that ordeal. Alex and I even got to go on a date (which, to clarify, was completely separate from the "waiting 6 hours in line for the swine flu shot" affair). Thanks, Mom!
